Limited spaces available
This FREE online event, exclusively for teachers and school leaders, will give you insights into the latest evidence, together with practical advice to help you help your pupils.
It’s the first in a series of free sessions for teachers and school leaders, brought to you by Coram Life Education SCARF's exciting new partnership with ACAMH.
About the event
The internet is an integral part of life and learning for young people. Screen time is a topic that excites considerable debate - in the media, and among families and professionals. But much of this debate is not informed by the evidence base about the mental health impacts of screen time. This session will cut through the moral panic and provide evidence-based information and tools to help you support your pupils.
In this inaugural event, Screen Time & Mental Health – Balancing the positive with the negative, Dr Max Davie, will talk about the topic. Dr Davie is the author of The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health screen time guidance, and offers an evidence-based, practical guide to what problematic screen use is, and what can be done about it.
Key take-aways
- Find out about the latest evidence base, with a balanced understanding of the positive and negative impacts screen time can have on mental health.
- Discover a practical guide to identify what problematic screen use actually is, and what can be done.
- Tips, advice, and recommendations on the actions you can take to assist young people.
