Working together with parents: practical ideas for running an effective RSE Parent Consultation event

Designed for PSHE leads and Senior Leaders who have already attended our One-day RSE course or consider themselves confident in leading statutory Relationships Education and Health Education in their school. This 3-hour interactive workshop provides a range of opportunities to consider ways in which to increase parents' understanding of the aims and purpose of RSE to ensure parents feel fully informed, consulted, and listened to in the engagement process.

If you've not yet accessed our One-day RSE course, or do not consider yourself confident in leading RSE, you can access this recorded webinar instead, which has been created to give teachers initial support.

Workshop overview

In this 3-hour interactive workshop we will provide:

  • Evidence-informed research about how parents and carers want to be involved in their child's RSE
  • Resources and strategies to support your school in creating the environment for effective involvement
  • Practical activities, workshop ideas - including exploring scenarios - to help engage parents and support their role in delivering RSE at home
