Wear Your Scarf to School Day Feb 9th 2024
- supporting Children’s Mental Health Week: My Voice Matters!
My Voice Matters! Is the theme of Children’s Mental Health Week in February 2024.
We’ll also be holding our annual Wear Your Scarf to School Day on the Friday of that week - 9th of February.
In the new year we'll be sharing with you new wellbeing tools and updates to the Wear Your Scarf to School day activities page that follow this year's theme.
To kick-start the My Voice Matters activities, we’re inviting your children to share with us ideas of things that they would love to do on Wear Your Scarf to School Day. Read on to find out how to show your children that their voice matters!
1. TAKE FIVE… Spend five minutes (or so!) at the end of a school day – maybe during SCARF Time or Circle Time – and collect ideas from your children on what special activities they would like to do on Wear Your Scarf to School day. Use the SCARF values of Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship as a starting point and collect all the ideas on a flip chart or whiteboard.

2. PICTURE THIS… take a photo of the ideas and send this to cle@coram.org.uk using the subject line: My Voice Matters ideas. Remember to include your class name, school and area - e.g. Dolphin Class, Greenfield school, Coventry.*
3. NAME IN LIGHTS! We’ll include as many ideas as possible on our website and social media pages in the run up to the day, crediting your class and sharing the great ideas!
4. EYES ON THE PRIZE! The very best class ideas will win a prize
5. IT ONLY TAKES A MINUTE… Remember: it only takes a few minutes to give your pupils the chance to have their voice heard – and shared with other SCARF schools!
*Please only include information that you’re happy to be shared on our website and across our social media platforms - X, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. No children’s names will be published.
